Education is a fundamental social determinant of health, acting as an upstream cause of health outcomes. Programs that bridge educational gaps between various socioeconomic and demographic groups are crucial for promoting health equity. Georgetown Global Health Nigeria (GGHN), a locally led entity registered in Nigeria in 2019 and staffed by local professionals with extensive experience in implementing African public health programs since 2004, through its research and implementation of educational programs like the Hands-on Application Capacity Building for Youths (HACBY) internship program and various capacity development trainings the organization has held under various thematic areas and projects. The HACBY internship program was established with a clear vision and unwavering commitment to transforming the learning landscape for young undergraduates, graduates, researchers, and professionals. GGHN aims to provide hands-on training and mentorship that will equip these youths with skills that transcend geographical boundaries and empower the next generation of Nigerian talent.

Additionally, as a research-centric organization, GGHN has facilitated the publication of various research papers and abstracts among its staff through its Collaborative Research and Digital-innovations for Learning and Evolution (CRADLE) initiative.

Leveraging various social media platforms, Georgetown Global Health Nigeria (GGHN) disseminates crucial information on Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), combating antimicrobial resistance, and addressing other pressing public health concerns.
