GGHN has awarded a grant to GGHN to strengthen Nigeria’s public health system through enhanced disease surveillance and improved laboratory data management. This funding will support efforts to improve outbreak detection and response timeliness, increase data quality, and ensure sustainable government ownership of digital surveillance systems.

This investment aims to:

  • Enhance outbreak detection and response timeliness by integrating a Genomic Module, an Intelligent Interactive Dashboard, and an Environmental Module into eNLIS, and by connecting eNLIS with Nigeria's SORMAS instance for real-time surveillance and laboratory data integration.
  • Deploy eNLIS across a network of public health laboratories in Nigeria to digitize data management, ensuring timely outbreak detection and response.
  • Promote a community of practice to ensure the continuity and sustainability of the system.
