Moving diagnostic samples across Cameroon has never been simple. Long distances, fragmented systems, and manual processes often meant delays in getting results to patients who need them most. Today, that is changing with sTRAC—a digital Sample Tracking System developed for Cameroon in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. By bringing visibility and coordination into one platform, sTRAC is helping health workers, transport agents, and laboratories work smarter, not harder.

Since its introduction, more than 50 transport agents, UPEC and laboratory staff have been trained across 30 health facilities in the Center and East Regions, and over 80 samples have been tracked using the system. For users, this means less paperwork, fewer phone calls, and faster turnaround times. For the country, it means stronger health systems and better access to timely diagnostics.

As utilization grows, sTRAC is proving that technology can make everyday tasks easier while supporting better health outcomes for communities across Cameroon.
